Jack White announces new UK tour date

Jack White has announced a new UK show ahead of his tour in June.

The former White Stripes man, who has already sold out previously announced dates at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on June 21 and HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 22, will now also play the UK Capital’s HMV Forum next Monday (April 23).

Tickets go onsale tomorrow (April 17) at 9am (GMT).

White releases his debut solo album ‘Blunderbuss’ on the same day (April 23) on Third Man Records/XL Records. The album was self-produced at his own Third Man Studio in Nashville.

Speaking to NME in a world exclusive interview last month, White explained that there was “absolutely no chance” he would ever reform The White Stripes, which also featured his ex-wife Meg White, adding that he would only consider it if he “went bankrupt”.

He said: “I’m not the kind of person that would retire from baseball and come out of retirement the next year. I mean, if we went to all the trouble of telling people we’re done, we meant it you know?”

Tickets go onsale tomorrow (April 17) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of Jack White tickets and get all the latest listings.
