Missy Higgins has shared her latest single to be lifted off her upcoming ‘Solastalgia’ LP which is out April 27.
‘Cemetery’ is a full on pop tune with a big chorus that is perfect for any dance floor. Although the sounds we have heard from Solastalgia are much different from what we have come to expect from Missy on previous offerings, she has managed to keep the essence of what brought her to the table in her thoughtful lyrics and emotional delivery.
Speaking of the track Missy says “‘Cemetery’ is maybe my fav track on the new album. At its essence it’s about a relationship that felt like flirting with death; a heart-exploding kind of love that was dangerous and exhilarating but ultimately could never last. I wrote it with my good friend Pip Norman, who is responsible for a lot of the cool new sounds you’ll hear on this record.”
